Master Lawyer Shameika HUE

Shameika Hue, BA (with honors), JDImmigration LawyerShameika earned her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Ryerson University. During her studies, she participated in the intensive Immigration and Refugee Law program, where she completed a clerkship at the Federal Court of Canada. As part of her clerkship, Shameika conducted legal research for six judges on legal issues, provided opinions on cases before the Court, and observed various court proceedings.Before joining Matkowsky Immigration Law, Shameika practiced family law, child protection law, and immigration law under the mentorship of a senior lawyer who successfully argued leading immigration cases before the Supreme Court of Canada. Shameika has experience in various areas of immigration law, including refugee matters, judicial reviews, temporary residency applications, permanent residency, humanitarian and compassionate grounds applications, and spousal sponsorships.Shameika is passionate about supporting her clients, as she understands that navigating the Canadian immigration system can be a stressful and lengthy process.
