Master Lawyer Mogens DYHR VESTERGAARD

Mogens Dyhr Vestergaard advises on a wide range of matters related to all areas of IP law, including copyright, trademark law, and marketing law.A significant part of Mogens' work is dedicated to advising and resolving IP-related and general commercial disputes for clients, particularly within the media, music, and life sciences industries.Mogens Dyhr Vestergaard also assists clients with transactions, including the drafting and negotiation of license agreements and distribution agreements involving intellectual property rights. He also advises on IP related aspects of M&A transactions, as well as providing general counsel on M&A transactions with a focus on IP rights. In addition to handling dispute-related and transactional matters, Mr. Vestergaard also advises on regulatory issues in the life sciences sector.Mr. Vestergaard practiced law in the United States for several years. He holds a Master of Law from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and is licensed to practice law in California. During his time in the U.S., Mr. Vestergaard specialized in advising companies on Danish-American legal relations. As such, he assists Danish clients with American interests in establishing a U.S. corporate structure, taking into account commercial, tax, and liability-limiting factors. He also regularly advises clients on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and on dispute resolution, including the instruction and oversight of litigation attorneys retained on behalf of his clients.Mogens Dyhr Vestergaard is thus highly specialized in cases involving Danish-American and/or American-Danish legal matters.He is the author of the section on video games in the textbook Entertainment Law, the current edition of which (2nd edition) was published in 2021, with a third edition expected to be released in 2024. Additionally, he co-authored the section on Denmark in International Copyright Law, A Practical Global Guide, published by Globe Law and Business in 2022.
